From Thursday 04.06 to Saturday 06.06 we have organised some events to spend more time with each of you and for you to get to know each other a little before our wedding.
For those new to travelling within Germany, we would recommend downloading the DB Navigator App ahead of time to buy tickets for public transport. If you are planning on travelling regularly with public transport, then we recommend the ‚Deutschlandticket‚.
Frankfurt airport is well connected to our city Karlsruhe by train.
Train:
If you’re taking the train from Karlsruhe main station, the closest train station to the venue is Odenheim West. We will be organising a shuttle from Odenheim West train station to the venue in the afternoon. Details will come closer to the date.
Car:
For those driving to the venue, there is parking available at the venue
For those staying the night, you can park across the road at the guest house.
As we won’t have pre-events every day and some of you may be staying in the Karlsruhe region a bit longer, here are some of our favorite restaurants, cafés, and sights to make the most of your visit.
• Café Wohnzimmer – Cozy spot with a homely vibe and delicious cakes.
• Café Palaver – Perfect for coffee and light bites.
• Wolfsbräu – Traditional German pub food with a lively atmosphere and house-brewed beer.
• Yangda – Fresh Asian cuisine with modern flavors.
• L’Osteria – Popular for pizza and pasta in generous portions.
• Claus Eismanufaktur -> Ice cream!

• Karlsruhe Palace & Park – Beautiful palace gardens, here you can take the small train! On Saturday and Sunday, you can ride the Garden Train, on Sundays its steam powered. Great recommendation for kids!
• ZKM | Center for Art and Media – Contemporary art and interactive exhibitions for a cultural afternoon. We recommend the gaming exhibition, where you can play various computer games from throughout time.

• Rhine River & Karlsruhe Harbor – Scenic walks and riverside cafés. For those who would like to gather ahead of the wedding, we’re happy to suggest a relaxed and family-friendly Rhine harbour cruise on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at 15:00. It’s a lovely way to enjoy the afternoon together on the water. Duration approx. 3.5 hours. More info here!
Theo and Leonie won’t be able to attend, as we’ll be in last-minute preparations for our big day on Monday, but we hope it’s a fun and memorable outing for everyone who joins!
• Durlach – Historic old town just a short tram ride away, with charming streets and cafés.
• Schauburg Cinema – Historical movie theater. It’s over 100 years old!
• Ettlingen – Charming nearby town with historic streets, shops, and cafés. If you go here, please check out Café Lillehus, it is 100% gluten free, and 100% delicious, great for brunch or the German Coffee & Cake.
